Halflife
Half-Life is the kind of game that shows you that a good plot, great gameplay, atmosphere and great graphics can be put together to form a successful game. This game looks wonderful, especially with a 3D card and it has wonderful atmosphere thanks to interaction with characters in the game and the music is great. The hazard course helps you get to grips with all the main functions, so you won't find any difficulty in gameplay. Huge levels and some puzzles will keep you occupied for a long time, and multiplayer is a wonderful experience.

The graphics are simply outstanding particularly on an accelerated PC. The backgrounds and cars are exquisitely rendered and make the game look very realistic. The attention to detail is also superlative. Leaves fly as cars race by, headlights reflect on wet surfaces, the way the cars light the road during night driving is highly realistic and the weather effects are the best yet seen particularly the spray from other cars when you’re driving right behind them.

Rogue Squadron
Rogue Squadron features a variety of mission types, including dogfights, search-and-destroy, reconnaissance, escort duty and rescue. The Settlers series from Blue Byte has been a fairly successful franchise for the company, especially in Europe. Although neither of the two previous installments broke any new ground in the strategy genre, they were decent games that provided gamers with some of the most highly detailed economic systems available in any strategy game. So, with the release of Settlers III, I was expecting about the same ... and that’s just what I got. Like the others, Settlers III is a good game, but there’s nothing really new or innovative here.

A great RPG with prerendered graphics. Very cool spells. Plays similar to final fantasy, but has the point and click fighting style. A must get for most of u rpg fans.

My first impressions of it are great! The game goes much more in depth then Simcity 2000 did. Making contracts with your neighbour cities and garbage disposal are great new features. The graphics and sound are a huge inprovment over Simcity 2000.

Locations are far more diverse in Tomb Raider 3 than in either of its predecessors. During your quest, Lara will find herself jetting off from one resort to another - from the unpredictable snake ridden rainforests, to the cityscape of London. Each have their own distinctive look and enemies, and usually find Lara kitted out in appropriate dress code.

The level layout is largely similar to Turok 1. You first need to fight your way through the first (and worst) level in the game, braving plenty of slowdown and fighting off a surprisingly low number of enemies. You cannot leave the level until you have found and saved four children and activated three distress beacons. Naturally, you're armed only with tame weaponry, and you have to open doors and hit switches in order to find those locations. Once you finish the level, you get access to the hub, from where you can get into all the other levels. Each new world is protected by three locks and the keys are scattered in the other levels.
